Finally!! Time for Matt and I to get out of town for a few days. We both couldn't be more ready. We have decided to go to St. Louis, Missouri.....a place Matt has always wanted to visit. We are going to Six Flags over St. Louis, The Arch, maybe a few museums, and of course shopping and restaurants. We are both excited to see a new place, but we are more excited to get out of town for a few days. So much has been going on and we've been so busy......it will be nice to just sit back and enjoy each others company. I hope everyone has a great week!

Graduation!!
Well, this weekend is high school graduation for my baby sister Ashlie. I can't believe that the time is already here. I am 8 years older than Ashlie and I sort of feel like I helped raise her a little.....I mean I kept her 8 hours a day in the summers from the time I was 12 years old til I graduated college. Although this is an exciting time for her and our family, I can't help feeling a little sad. My former baby sister is now a grown woman ready to start the rest of her life. It makes me think back on the year that I graduated. It was such a great feeling to have finally reached an important goal and move on to the next one. Good Luck Ashlie, I love you. And good luck to all the graduates out there.

Tragedy
None of us really know when it will be our time to go....most of us hope to live a long and full life, getting married, having children and watching them grow into adults, and watching their children grow. However, for some us, that will never happen. This past week Matt's uncle, David, died suddenly. It was such a shock to all of us. David was a great uncle even to me. I've known him for about 10 years know, and all I've ever known of him was love and kindness. He was always willing to do what ever it took to make everyone happy, his family, friends, and even strangers. He was a joy to all of us. We will all miss him greatly, but I know that the memories that he left with us will always be with us. We miss you and love you David and we look forward to seeing you agian someday, Rest in peace.

Ceramics
Well, As some of you know, I'm trying to get into painting ceramics.....a little too artsy for me, you know I don't have that much creativity. However, I have really enjoy it. I'm just now getting started, but I think it is something fun for me to do. Plus, my friends Jennifer and Allison are really good at it, so I have two really good teachers. Well, I'll let you know how it's going soon.

Izzy's Acting Debute
My mother-in-law called last night to ask if she could borrow Izzy for tonight.....Her school had a PTA meeting this evening, and they had a teacher's talent show. She was reading a poem about a boy that turned into a parking meter. At the end of the poem it talked about the boy(parking meter) wishing the dogs would stay away, and she wanted Izzy to run out on stage to her. I was kind of nervous because if you know Izzy, she is a very mischievious and curious dog....I was afraid she would forget her granny and run right off the stage into the audience. Well, she did good. She sort of went straight where she was supposed to....she ate up the people staring at her.....she looked like she stopped and looked at them, then went to granny. Well, it was a fun experience. Who knows, she may be the next Eddie.....you know the dog that starred on the sitcom Frazier.

Bath Time!!
Well, everyone posts pictures of their kids doing things, so I thought....Izzy is like my baby, so I'm gonna show ya'll pictures of her taking a bath. We have had her for a year and 4 months now, but she still HATES taking a bath. There's just something about clean water apparently....because she will romp and run in mud puddles or the rain, but you put her in the tub and she goes absolutely crazy. Matt was giving her a bath the other day, so I thought I would take a few pictures. She looks so pitiful and abused doesn't she? Hahahaha! She's just too cute!

Easter
Well, this has been a long week. Although I am relieved to have the wedding behind me, it has been a very busy week. You know it's Easter week and everyone is coming in to the salon to get pretty for the weekend. It's gotten to that time where people are still trying to get in, yet we have no more openings to squeeze anyone else in; I promise people think we can just magically make more hours in the day suddenly start popping up.....that would be great, but come on!!! Well, we are planning to go to my friend Ann's house this Saturday to hunt Easter eggs with her 2 kids, Erin and Lucas. It has been sooooo long since I have done that. My sister is 18 now, so it has been since she was little that I have done the egg hunting thing. I think I am going to have a great time. I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend....and amongst the kids, eggs, and candy, I hope we will all remember the real reason for the celebration for this weekend. Jesus has paid our ultimate sacrifice so we may live forever. I hope that gets you fired up for this weekend.

Karoake
After the wedding, all of our close friends and family decided to sing karoake in the pavilion at the place where we had the wedding. They had a big screen T.V. hooked up to the karoake machine. We had alot of fun. Here are a few pics from the karoake party.

Wedding
Well, Saturday was Crystal's wedding.....it was beautiful! Even though it stormed Friday night, the ground was not too wet and the weather was overcast, which is best for taking outdoor pictures. However, it was a little chilly, but personally I would rather be cool than burning up. Everything went as planned, the ceremony only lasted about 15 minutes....totally oposite from my 40 minute wedding. Matt sang, "Making Memories of Us" by Keith Urban; it was beautiful. The reception was great too. We had tons of food. After eating, Crystal and J.T. "fake left," you know for pictures.....they left on her dad's motorcycle; it was cute. Then they came back and we danced the night away....Well, some of us did anyway. Overall it was a great weekend. They left Sunday morning for Orlando, FL. They are spending the week at Universal Studios. I'll try to add wedding pics to my next post.

Happy Birthday Matt!
Today is my husband's birthday.....he's still older than me! I took him out to dinner last night; we went to Chili's in Starkville. It was good. After dinner we went to coldstone creamery and got ice cream.....they really have the best ice cream I've ever tasted. Tonight my mother-in-law got together with me and my brother-in-law and we gave Matt a surprise party at the church building before classes. It was a lot of fun. I know he enjoyed being able to share his day with everyone he loves. I was going to take Izzy to her daddy's party, but I figured it would be a disaster waiting to happen!!!!! She loves him soooo much....she would really rather be with him than me, but that's fine; I love her the same. I have felt kind of bad tonight because I had to get Matt to help me out at the grocery store and cleaning around the house tonight for the bridesmaids luncheon on Friday. I am really just about to fall out from exahstion this week. 2 more days 'til my cousin's wedding day!!!! Everyone please pray everything goes good, and that the weather will be perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Crafts
I have been talking to a few friends at church for a while about doing a ceramic class they were starting once a month at the church building. Well, I finally went this evening, and I have to say, I think it's gonna be alot of fun. My first project, which also happens to be my first EVER, was a small dog bowl that I painted for my little Izzy. It turned out pretty cute, I guess, if you over look the fact that I made a few marks out of the lines.....plus it's a tedious task to keep the colors from bleeding into each other. Overall, I had a great time fellowshipping and learning something new..... that I know I'm going to really enjoy once I get more practice in. I can't wait for the next class! I'm already tossing ideas around in my head about what I'm going to paint next.

Friday!!!!
Well, it's been another long week for me. I can always tell that summer is coming when we get real busy because everyone is making hair and nail appointments for formals, prom, weddings, and vacations. It gets so busy that at night I sometimes just feel like crashing..... This weekend is the LIFE blood drive at the church. There are so many people signed up to give blood for Mrs. Sherry Decker. I hope everyone shows and everything goes great. Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend, I'll try considering that I work on Saturdays...it's not so bad sometimes, it's just 'til 1pm. Talk to ya'll soon; thanks for visiting my blog....my husband is real excited that I am taking advantage of the web world. Haha!

Babies
Well, I'm beginning to think that the whole world is out to get me. As if there is not enough pressure on a newly married couple about having a baby.... my husband and I have been married 3 1/2 years. People were not to bad at first, but here lately, that's all any and everyone wants to know....."So when are you going to have a baby?" My in-laws have always picked on us about thinking they will never have gran children, but they joke with us for the most part. Then everyone at work has started on me, but I can over look that a little. Then you know it's bad when your own mother just casually asks, so when are you.....? I was feeling O.K. until that same week I find out that not one but two of my friends from church are pregnant, one with her 4th and the other her 1st. Now, I'm the ONLY young married woman left that is not either pregnant or already had kids. Could be worse I guess. My time will come one day, when I'm ready. Best wishes to those who are expecting and good luck.
Crazy!!
I think I'm gonna go crazy soon. My cousin, Crystal, is getting married next weekend and my mom and I are givingv the bridesmaids luncheon....thanks to my mom at MY HOUSE! i have no idea what I'm doing. I have never hosted such a nice brunch before. Luckily, my mom knows EVERYTHING, so really all I have to do is do what she tells me to. So basically, I am cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning until my home is spotless and presentable. I'm sure everything will fall into place that day after all my stressing...it usually does.
